The aim of a duel
Reduce the opposing avatar’s health to zero. In PvP duels, both players start with 200 HP regardless of level. In PvE, Avatar health depends on player progression and encounters can use specific values and objectives. If both avatars reach zero at the same time, the result is a draw.
Cards and decks
Creatures fight on the field, spells apply their stated effects and weapons equip your avatar. In the Deck Builder, choose cards from your collection within the displayed copy limits.
Playing cards, spells and weapons
Playing a card spends its stated mana cost, except when an effect provides an alternative cost. Choose a free zone for a creature and a valid target when required. After resolution a spell goes to the graveyard; a weapon equips your avatar and replaces its previous weapon, which goes to the graveyard.
Turns and mana
The standard opening hand contains five cards. The starting player has 1 maximum Mana on their first turn and skips that turn’s automatic draw. The second player advances their second Mana unlock only to their own first turn: they have 2 maximum Mana and draw normally. On their second turn they skip the increase and remain at 2 maximum Mana; from their third turn onward, maximum Mana grows by 1 each turn, up to 10. The progressions are therefore 1, 2, 3… for the starting player and 2, 2, 3… for the second player. At the start of each turn, available Mana refills to the unlocked maximum, subject to card effects. The advance and skipped increase happen before Mana refill, ability unlocks and start-of-turn effects.
Combat
Drag cards from your hand to play them, and drag a creature or avatar towards a target to attack. Neither player can attack during their own first turn. Creatures deal damage based on ATK; ranged attackers do not take counterattack damage from their target. Effects and abilities can change individual combat interactions.
